Stewardess Flower Arranging Course (Cape Town)

This floral design course is tailored to yachting, and you will leave with a sound knowledge of table layout, flowers, vases and plants used onboard… as well as some designs to impress guests and yacht owners. The courses will be held at the Folha Store in Cape Town.

On our Bloomfield Bespoke hands-on workshops you will be shown how to arrange flowers for any occasion, learn how to select the correct flowers, colours and vessels to create beautiful bouquets and table arrangements. Kate will make arrangements during the tutorial, afterwards you will then make them on your own. With her guidance throughout, you will learn how to style a beautiful table with all the essential elements for a naturally exquisite setting. The workshop includes:

  • Back to basics – the essentials (what you need for flower arranging)

  • Hands-on arranging – types of flower arrangements and how to make them

  • Appropriate arrangement designs for exterior and interiour dining, salons, suites, the spa, power rooms, etc.

  • An introduction to colour selections, texture, layering and depth

  • Compiling a flower order- a wholesaler in Holland (EU based) and Miami (US based) will be provided

  • A list of recommended nurseries and florists near the popular ports in the Caribbean, East Coast USA and Med, as well as where to buy vases, pots and décor pieces

  • Selection of flowers and foliage

  • Styling and tablescaping

RATES: Full day workshops cost $254/ R4800 per person. This includes a full day tutorial, a 40 page course- book , beautiful arrangements to take home,  as well as lunch and refreshments
